The Blackall Range Independent School is able to cater for children from Prep to Year 12.  Located in Kureelpa (in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland), the beauty, location and size of our property are conducive to an engaging environment with many opportunities for learning, play and social development.

The whole school focus for Term One is – ‘Together is Better’.  We hit the ground running this year embracing the National Curriculum with our focus on understanding relationships, building and maintaining relationships and working collaboratively. We will be learning about these capabilities through the study of the traditional subject areas, within the context of the classroom, community projects and relationships. The teachers spent 3 days in the holidays, building relationships and working collaboratively with Joanne Casey and Randall Burrows from the Association of Independent Schools Qld (AISQ) on the design of our approach to the curriculum and school development. We are inspired and excited to have the opportunity to implement what feels like a ‘fresh start’ based on a firm historical foundation – new curriculum, new year, new friends. Across the whole school we are all understanding and building relationships as we get to know each other.
